Application Virgin Application Apply mixture to the mid-lengths/ends 1/2 inch from the scalp
Develop for 15 minutes
Apply mixture to the re-growth and re-apply to mid-lengths/ends
Develop for full development time. 35 minutes
Re-growth Application Apply to dry, unwashed re-growth
Develop for full development time.
Re-growth application on mid-lengths/ends
Minimum fading Process for full development time.
Add a small amount of warm water to mixture
Emulsify mixture through mid-lengths/ends.
Moderate Fading (1 level + tone) Add a small amount of warm water to mixture
Apply mixture through mid-lengths/ends for the last 15-20 minutes of development time.
For cool and natural shades, perform a 10 minute strand test to determine processing time on mid-lengths/ends.
Maximum Fading (2-3 levels) Apply target shade to re-growth
Add a 3 inch ribbon or a color match shade (see color matching guide) to the mixture.
Apply to mid-lenghts/ends immediately after re-growth application.
Process for full development time.
A color match shade is a Majirel shade that is warmer and the same level or darker than your target shade.
Majirel Guidelines for Superb Coverage of White More than 50% white If the client's desired Majirel shade is Warm:
1/2 tube of the desired shade + 1/2 tube of a corresponding level Gold Shade
Warm Shades have a 3/G gold, 4/C copper, 5/Rv red-violet or 6/R red tone.
Gold shade 4.3/4G, 5.3/5G, 6.3/6G, 7.3/7G, 8.3/8G, 9.3/9G, 6.03/6NG, 7.03/7NG, 8.03/8NG
If the client's desired Majirel Shade is cool: 1/2 tube of the desired shade +1/2 tube of the corresponding level Natural Shade
Cool shades have a 1/B blue, 2/v violet, 5/Rv red-violet or 7/Gr green tone.
Natural Shade 1/1N, 3/3N, 4/4N, 5/5N, 6/6N, 7/7N, 8/8N, 9/9N, 10/10N
Under 50% White Choose the client's desired Majirel Shade and remember to follow all health and safety best practices.
Rinsing When development time is complete, add a little warm water to the hair and gently emulsify. Thoroughly rinse color from the hair and shampoo lightly with L'Oreal Professionnel Post-Color Shampoo
Majirel Mixers Usage Guide Cool Mixers - Control unwanted warmth blue, violet or green mixer
For superior control of warmth, add between 1/4 to 1/2 inches ribbon to a Majirel Formula
Light Ash Mixer For Extra Control of Warmth on Levels 6 - 9, add between 1-4inches to a Majirel/Majiblond Ultra formula.
Warm mixers - intensify and add brightness to warm colors copper, copper-red or red mixer
For increased brightness, add 1/4 of a tube to a Majirel formula
Note When adding mixers to a formula, no additional developer is needed.
